Background


The Masonry Contractors Association of Alberta(MCAA) is proud to announce the 2011 Masonry Design Awards, 'Celebrating Architecture in Masonry'.

The Masonry Design Awards honour the collaborative achievements of a project team for imaginative and creative use of masonry.

Outstanding masonry projects provide living examples of the beauty and timelessness of masonry design and are a testament to its tradition as an architectural material.

Like the extremely successful 2007 event, the North and South regions of MCAA are collaborating to host this exclusive industry networking event and dinner. The judging committee is comprised of recognized members of the architectural and engineering professions.

Call for submissions is now closed. We received a phenomenal response and April 8, 2011 is an Awards Dinner not to be missed.

2007 Alberta Masonry Design Awards.

The Masonry Contractors Association of Alberta (MCAA) presented the 2007 Alberta Masonry Design Awards on Friday April 20, 2007 at a gala event held at The Westin, Edmonton. The Awards are given every four years and acknowledge excellence, innovation and design in the use of masonry in Alberta construction.

The Award categories to which projects may be submitted, by any of the development partners involved, include: Educational/Institutional; Commercial Building; Multi Family Residential; Single Family Residential; Artistic Use of Masonry; Renovation/Restoration; and Structural Masonry Design.

Masonry Design Awards Magazine
The Masonry Design awards magazine showcases winners in each category, and includes photographs and descriptions of each project.
